About Us
Hello! We’re Riya and Emi, two IB students trying to find our ways through junior and senior year!
Our wonderful friendship began during our Freshman year of high school. Previously, we went to different schools that completely did not zone for this new district, so we did not know many friends in this area. We were somewhat nervous, as this was a new change, but we were individually able to feel calm knowing that as long as we stay true to ourselves, that we’d be okay. We both ended up enrolled for the Pre-IB classes, not knowing completely what IB is, but knowing that it's a school-thing that sounds challenging and open-minded. We also threw ourselves in an AP Human Geography class, not knowing how AP courses even work or what they’re like. Little did we know, signing up and throwing ourselves in those classes would lead us to meeting our current beloved IB classmates, and of course, each other! When we walked in for the first time, the seating chart had put us near one another in the back of the class, with a fellow classmate in between. We initially did not talk, as it turned out we were both new and confused. However, our classmate in between sparked a conversation with us two, which started our interaction together. We talked about a reading assignment, and how AP seems like a huge workload, and that all led us to laughter and bonding. Human Geography was such a hard class, and the first few weeks were tough, not gonna lie. But, as we got used to the course, we eventually figured the rhythm to the madness, and started working together a bunch on projects. We both worked well with one another with our work ethic, and our jokes made our projects even funnier. As the year ended and AP exams finished, that led us into our Sophomore year, and now, to our Junior year. Time flies fast when in challenging courses with one another. But the funny moments and laughter we share with one another during the few breaks we got brought us together stronger than ever. We both lift one another up, and we honestly could not be where we are without each other. We are lucky to even know each other and cannot wait to experience high school and life with each other by our sides!
